Team Moon

Add your miles to Team Moon

Run together. Go further.

Hopkins is building a community of runners whose combined miles will reach the Moon and back. Your miles can be part of it.

Here’s how it works

Four calm steps to the Moon

  1. Join Team Moon on GiveWheel

GiveWheel creates a participant page linked to the event.

  2. Connect Strava

Link your Strava account so eligible completed runs can be added.

  3. Run and contribute

Your miles count towards Team Moon’s collective 477,710-mile total.

  4. Fundraise only if you choose

Your GiveWheel page can remain unshared and at £0. Joining the running team does not require asking anyone for money.

You choose

Running and fundraising are separate choices

You can decide now or later. Every eligible mile still counts towards Team Moon.

Run

Add miles only

Join, connect Strava and keep the page GiveWheel creates private and unshared.

Donate without running

You can support the nine charities without joining a team or connecting Strava.

Team Moon FAQs

Do I have to fundraise?

No. You can leave the participant page GiveWheel creates unshared and at £0. Your eligible running miles can still count towards Team Moon.

Do I have to donate?

No. Joining Team Moon is free, and you do not have to donate to add your running miles.

Can I connect Strava later?

Yes. You can join Team Moon first and connect Strava from your GiveWheel page whenever you’re ready.

Which activities count?

Team Moon is a running challenge, so completed runs count. If you are unsure about an activity, contact us before adding it.

Will my precise route or email be public?

No. You choose the name shown publicly, and we display only safe totals. We will never publish your email address or precise GPS route.

Can children or young people take part?

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us before you join or create a page.

Can I stop taking part?

Yes. You can manage your GiveWheel page and account, and contact us if you need help.
