Why we're supporting them

The supported project lies in the Llanganates-Sangay corridor in eastern Ecuador. It is designed to connect small but important reserves with Sangay National Park, creating a larger and more resilient conservation area.

01

Land protection

World Land Trust's support focuses on purchasing 485 hectares and legally securing further connected land.

02

Rare wildlife

The landscape supports spectacled bears, mountain tapirs, Andean condors and highly threatened amphibians.

03

Local partnership

Fundación EcoMinga protects Andean forests and grasslands with local rangers and communities.

The campaign connection

Every donation is shared through GiveWheel

GiveWheel processes donations and divides them between all nine causes using the campaign's agreed allocation. Extreme Psychiatry never asks you to enter payment details on this website.

Why this corridor matters

The project aims to create direct connections between existing reserves and Sangay National Park. Better-connected habitat gives threatened wildlife more room and makes the wider conservation area more resilient.

The project brief identifies deforestation, agricultural expansion, forest-fire risk and illegal hunting as the main threats.

Monthly progress
